Custommade tarpaulins – when standard solutions aren’t enough
Whether you need to cover straw bales, construction sites, boats, or patios, we tailor a tarpaulin that fits perfectly.
What is a custom-made tarpaulin—and why choose one over a standard tarpaulin?
A custom-made tarpaulin is produced precisely according to your dimensions, purpose, and preferences for accessories. Unlike a standard tarpaulin, where you are restricted to fixed sizes and awkward folds, a custom tarpaulin is sewn, welded, and reinforced right where you need it most.
The advantages of a tailored solution include:
● Optimal fit – no flapping edges that cause wear or allow wind and water to seep in
● Longer lifespan – because reinforcements and eyelets are placed in exact locations
● Customization options – choose colors, material weights, zippers, eyelets, and straps suited to your specific use
● Better overall value – a tarpaulin that fits precisely lasts significantly longer than an “almost fitting” standard solution
We manufacture solutions for everything from trailers and containers to barn doors, straw stacks, construction scaffolding, and marine applications.
What materials and fabric weights (GSM) do you use for custom tarpaulins?
We primarily use heavy-duty PVC fabric, known for being waterproof, UV-resistant, frost-resistant, and resilient against chemical exposure. Depending on the purpose, we typically select a material weight between 570 g/m² and 900 g/m²:
● 570–650 g/m² – Ideal for lighter coverage, straw stacks, building materials, and home use
● 680–750 g/m² – Standard for trailers, containers, and agricultural use
● 800–900 g/m² (and heavy-duty grades) – For industrial use, transport, trucks, and high-wear areas
All our tarpaulins are assembled in our own workshop using industrial sewing machines and high-frequency (HF) welders, ensuring 100% watertight seams. With proper use, a quality PVC tarpaulin has an expected lifespan of 5 to 15 years, depending on UV exposure and mechanical wear.
How do I measure correctly for a custom-made tarpaulin?
Accurate measurements are crucial to ensuring your custom tarpaulin fits tightly and stays windproof. Follow these steps:
1. Measure externally, from outer edge to outer edge—not the inside dimensions.
2. Measure length, width, and depth/height of what needs to be covered (trailer, container, stack, structure, etc.).
3. Add an overhang along the sides if the tarpaulin needs to hang over the edges—typically 10–20 cm.
4. Note the placement of eyelets, straps, or zippers, and specify how the tarpaulin will be secured.
5. Is the structure irregular or complex? Simply draw a rough hand sketch with measurements and send it to us—that is more than sufficient.
If you are unsure, we are happy to visit and handle the measuring for you. This is especially advantageous for large-scale projects, storage halls, agricultural buildings, and custom structures where every millimeter counts.
How much does a custom-made tarpaulin cost – and how do I get a quote?
The price of a custom-made tarpaulin depends on:
● Size (m²)
● Material weight (GSM) and quality
● Color
● Add-ons such as zippers, heavy-duty eyelets, edge reinforcements, velcro, straps, and print/logo branding
● Additional services such as on-site measuring or installation
Because each tarpaulin is uniquely custom-made, there is no fixed unit price. You will always receive a specific, non-binding quote—send us your measurements and requirements via our contact form or call us at +45 57 67 40 57, and we will get back to you quickly with a price and delivery timeframe. A rough hand sketch is all it takes to get started.
Can you repair an existing tarpaulin – and do you offer on-site installation?
Yes. In addition to manufacturing new tarpaulins, we also offer repairs, measuring, and installation at the customer’s location. Our technicians travel to sites across Zealand (and the rest of the country by agreement) to assist with:
● Repairing holes, tears, and leaking seams on existing tarpaulins
● Replacing eyelets, zippers, and reinforcements
● Measuring complex structures, agricultural buildings, halls, and roll-up doors
● Installing new tarpaulins on trailers, containers, roll-up doors, scaffolding, and more
In many cases, this allows us to significantly extend the lifespan of an existing tarpaulin—rather than replacing it altogether. Contact us to schedule a visit.
What options and accessories can you provide – eyelets, zippers, reinforcements, etc.?
Our tarpaulins can be tailored with high precision to suit your specific task. Our most requested options include:
● Eyelets (brass or stainless steel) placed at custom intervals—typically every 25, 50, or 100 cm.
● Edge and corner reinforcements for high-wear areas.
● Zippers for convenient access openings.
● Velcro, D-rings, hooks, straps, and elastic cords for secure fastening.
● Keder beadings for tracks on trucks and trailers.
● Color choices from a broad standard palette—or customized upon request.
● Printing and logo design for advertising or corporate branding.
● Flame-retardant and food-grade fabric types for specialized industries.
Tell us what the tarpaulin will be used for, and we will recommend the best combination of fabric and accessories.
How long is the delivery time for a custom-made tarpaulin?
The typical delivery time for a custom-made tarpaulin is 2–3 weeks from order confirmation, though it may vary depending on season and complexity. If you have an urgent job—such as a torn trailer cover or a damaged barn door—please let us know. We prioritize urgent orders whenever possible and can often manufacture and deliver faster.
Specialized solutions, complex roll-up doors, and tarpaulins with custom printing/logos may require a slightly longer turnaround time. The exact delivery date will always be specified in your order confirmation.
